Le changement de code, ou code-switching, désigne le passage de la structure syntaxique d'une langue à une autre. Le changement de code peut s'opérer phrase à phrase dans le discours, ou bien au cœur même de la phrase.


En (1), les mots français qui apparaissent dans la phrase bretonne marquent plus qu'un emprunt lexical, car c'est tout un bloc syntaxique de groupe nominal du français qui a été importé tel quel dans la phrase d'une autre langue.

et celle.ci vous voit R a "une pélerine" mais le ceux-ci a tout mouchoirs

La motivation pour le changement de code peut être d'ordre social ou linguistique, mais aussi émotionnel (Chen, Zhou & Kennedy 2012).

Terminologie

En anglais, le terme est code-switching. Ce terme est souvent importé tel quel en français, un usage qui illustre parfaitement le sens de ce mot... jusqu'à ce qu'il devienne un emprunt.
